Where Ghanaian tradition meets London craftsmanship

A Tradition Worth Preserving

The inspiration behind Setor Lord-Attivor traces back to the late 1980s and early 1990s, when a cherished Ghanaian tradition began to fade: the practice of serving food — particularly waakye — wrapped in natural leaves.

As lifestyle habits shifted, a sudden rise in health concerns caused communities to abandon the practice. Realising that this beautiful piece of cultural heritage was on the verge of dying out, the designer felt compelled to act.

As a self-taught leather craftsman with a background in architecture, he spent years mastering the material through hands-on experimentation. The breakthrough: designing luxury leather bags whose making process beautifully mimics the folding and wrapping of the traditional Ghanaian leaf method.

Design Philosophy

Form

Guided by intentional design, precision patterning, and hand-selected leathers — every silhouette is considered from the first fold to the final stitch.

Durability

Built to endure through seamless construction, reinforced overlapping joins, and heavy-duty threading. These are pieces made to last a lifetime.

Style

Born from open-minded, playful curiosity grounded in meticulous attention to detail — from bags inspired by leaf-wrapping to hats that reimagine the classic Fedora.

Each piece is individually handcrafted in London, shaped at the intersection of architectural discipline and self-taught leather craftsmanship. The result? Truly singular pieces designed to bring the joy of pure craftsmanship into your everyday life.

Sustainability

Local Production

Sourcing, crafting, hand-stitching, and finishing all take place under one roof in London — keeping our carbon footprint to an absolute minimum.

Zero-Waste Mindset

By engineering our bags primarily from single pieces of leather and producing in limited batches, we drastically reduce material waste at every stage.
