Our Story

``Form, durability and style captured in tradition``. Established in 2014, Setor Lord-Attivor set his sights on using his handbag designs as a means to capture the essence of the Ghanaian tradition of wrapping food in leaves.
By so doing, most bags have been developed to be formed from a single piece of leather.
A specific folding process of the leather is applied to form the shapes. Distinctive stitching together with strategically positioned fitting are applied to achieved the desired finish.

Form

Achieved by a combined carefully selected choice of leather, patterns and design thought.

Durability

Achieved by the reduction of seam joints,  overlapping end and the choice of threads used.

Style

Achieved by a playful/open minded approach,  coupled with a particular attention to detail.

Setor believes design should always be approached with elements of playfulness and the childlike zest and energy. All the bags are handcrafted in London with the careful attention to details that make them unique in their own right. Setor's background in architecture has a significant influence on the overall design and production process. A self-taught leather craftsman, Setor's passion for how materials are put together to form products gives him immense satisfaction and wants to share this through his creations.

Sustainability

The brand meets its sustainability goals by producing all our bags by hand. The sourcing of tools materials, crafting, stitching, and finishing all takes place in London. This approach means that our carbon footprint is at a minimum.
By forming the bags from a single piece of leather and producing in small quantities, we limit our waste to a minimum.
